RHS greets an icy 2010

The UK is in the grip of a Siberian freeze with temperatures down to -20 in parts of Scotland.

The RHS is particularly suffering the cold - reports suggest it that has lost its grip on the UK’s gardening pulse and is facing an extremely challenging 2010.

Would love to know your thoughts on this controversial article in the Guardian yesterday - http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/gardening-blog/2010/jan/08/rhs-chelsea

Hmmm not sure, they still seem to do a great deal of good work with schools and colleges, their booklet is one of the most interesting available and they have lots of links with small and clearly not class defined gardens. I am sure they could do better, but I would not dismiss them so easily as the article does.
